Kantharos is a desktop interface and local bridge for an existing Hermes setup. Hermes remains the system of record for agent state and conversations. The app does not host a separate agent runtime.

The boundary

• Hermes: agent execution, sessions, tools, and underlying data.
• Kantharos: Mac interface for the roster, conversations, settings, and connection flow.
• You: the Hermes account or server you choose to connect.
